🍎🌳 Johnny Appleseed Week 🌳🍎 Ms. Thedford’s class had an apple-solutely fun week celebrating Johnny Appleseed! Students explored whether apples sink or float, made apple volcanoes and applesauce, counted seeds, tasted apples, created apple stamps, and learned about the parts of an apple and how apples grow. 🍏🌱 They also learned the story of Johnny Appleseed in honor of his September 26th birthday! 🍎📚 We love seeing learning come to life through hands-on activities! 💙🤍

🦆🇺🇸 Duck for President! 🗳️ Our 1st grade Wranglers had a little Election Day fun! After their teachers read Duck for President, students headed to the polls and cast their own votes! 🗳️🦆 What a fun way to bring a great book to life while learning about voting and making choices. Our first graders took their voting responsibilities very seriously! 💙🤍

🎸🎶 ROCK ’N’ ROLL FOREVER! 🎶🎸 Our 4th grade Wranglers ROCKED the stage tonight! 🤘💙 From the music and dancing to the big smiles, our students put on such a fun show! We are so proud of their hard work and confidence on stage! A huge THANK YOU to Mr. Horton and all of our rotation teachers for the time, energy, and teamwork that went into making Rock ’n’ Roll Forever such a great performance! 🎤⭐ Way to rock, 4th grade! 🎸🥁🎶

This morning, the Homecoming Parade stopped by the Elementary School, and our seniors, football players, cheerleaders, and dance team got to spend some time with our littlest Wranglers! 🐴💙

There were plenty of smiles, handshakes, and Homecoming spirit all around! 🏈🎉

🧩➗ Math Puzzles! ✏️💙 Our 5th graders were putting those math brains to work today! They did a GREAT job practicing 2-digit by 1-digit multiplication while working through a fun math puzzle challenge. There was lots of thinking, problem-solving, and a little friendly competition along the way! 🧠✨🧩💙 Way to work hard, Wranglers! ⭐

🏗️ EES G/T Takes on the Tallest Tower Challenge! ⭐ Our EES G/T students put their creativity and problem-solving skills to the test today with the “Tallest Tower” Challenge! Using only 25 cups, teams worked together to build the tallest tower possible. Along the way, students explored balance, strong foundations, gravity, spatial awareness, teamwork, and lots of trial and error! We loved watching them think, adjust, collaborate, and keep trying! 💙 🏆 Winning Tower Heights by Grade Level: ⭐ 1st Grade – 2' ⭐ 2nd Grade – 6'3" ⭐ 3rd Grade – 5'2.5" ⭐ 4th Grade – 5'6" ⭐ 5th Grade – 6'3" Great job, Wranglers! Think BIG, build BIG! 🤠💙⭐

Our superintendent, Mr. Briscoe, stopped by to read *A Perfectly Messed-Up Story* by Patrick McDonnell. Our little Wranglers loved the silly story and enjoyed having Mr. Briscoe share the fun of reading with them! 💙🤍

💙 A MESSAGE FROM EDNA ELEMENTARY Dear Edna Elementary Families, What a wonderful first day at Edna Elementary! It was so exciting to welcome our Wranglers back and see our hallways and classrooms filled with smiling faces again. Thank you to our families for your patience, support, and flexibility today. The beginning of a new school year takes a little time to settle into, and we appreciate everyone working together as our students learn their new routines. 🚗 Reminder for Tomorrow Morning Beginning tomorrow, Edna Elementary will be a closed campus, and parents/guardians will not be able to walk students into the building. We will have plenty of staff members ready to welcome our Wranglers and help them get where they need to go! 💙 Our back car rider line opens at 7:10 AM, and the front circle drive opens at 7:35 AM for PK–1 drop-off only. Please do not enter or use the front circle drive before 7:35 AM, as this area is needed for our buses. Students dropped off in the front will enter through the main doors. Please have your child ready to exit the vehicle with their belongings when you reach the drop-off area. Staff will be there to open vehicle doors and help keep traffic moving safely and efficiently. We are giving grace as everyone adjusts to new morning routines this week; tardies will officially begin next week. We are off to a great start, Wranglers! Thank you for trusting us with your children and for your continued support as we begin an amazing school year together. A mix of emotions filled the halls this morning as our graduating seniors took one final walk through the elementary campus — this time alongside our graduating kindergarteners. 💙🎓

For the seniors, it was a chance to reflect on how far they’ve come. For the kindergarteners, it was a glimpse into the journey ahead. One chapter is ending, while another is just beginning.
